Pacific Beverages, the joint venture of SABMiller and Coca-Cola Amatil and the owner of the Bluetongue beer brand, has commenced brewing on its new brewery near Sydney, Australia.

The facility has a capacity of 500 000 hectolitres, required about $150 million investments and 18 month to construct.
It will be used to brew both domestic popular beer brands and international ones, such as Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Peroni Leggera, Miller Genuine Draft, Miller Chill and Grolsch .
On April 23rd, 1516 the Reinheitsgebot was accepted.
It is the famous beer-purity law that was intended to keep undesirable or unhealthy ingredients out of beer and is mentioned in many beer brands’ history.
