Gap plans its Italian expansion.

Following the launch of the Gap and Banana Republic stores in London and Paris, Gap plans its new shops in Milan, Rome and other Italian places.

In late 2010 one can wait stores in Milan’s leading shopping area on the Corso Vittorio Emanuele with additional openings follow in 2011. Also, Gap is going to bring an online shopping site for Gap and Banana Republic to the United Kingdom, which will also serve online shoppers in nine other European countries, including Italy.

Today there are about 3 100 Gap stores across the world, with more than 170 Gap brand stores in Europe.
